It has evolved from a one-person, home-office consultancy devoted to association and event management for the Western Australian building design industry to a more diversified consultancy incorporating magazine publishing activities, as Pond Publications, for the national building design industry.

Today, the building design industry remains the core business focus of The Media Pond, which hosts and manages the registered office of Building Designers Australia WA and continues to publish the official quarterly magazines of the Building Designers Australia.

The Media Pond also publishes special annual design awards editions for both state and national organisations, as well as organising and staging award presentation events and conferences.
